ExamCruisePrivacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Exam Cruise (“we”, operated by Exam Cruise Education Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria) collects when you use our exam-preparation apps and website, why we collect it, and the rights you have. It is written to align with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
Who this applies to
Exam Cruise is used by students preparing for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations. Many of our users are under 18. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use Exam Cruise, and your parent or guardian must agree to this policy on your behalf. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review or delete a minor’s data.
Data we collect
- Account details — your name and email address, provided when you sign in (including via “Sign in with Google”).
- Study profile — the exam, subjects, school, and level you select.
- Learning activity — the questions you attempt, your answers and scores, notes read, flashcards reviewed, past-paper attempts, and study progress.
- AI tutor conversations — the messages you send to the AI tutor and its replies.
- Payment records — when you buy a pass, we store the plan, amount, and a payment reference. We do not store your card or bank details — those are handled entirely by our payment processor.
- Technical data — basic device and usage information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use your data
We use your data to provide and personalise your revision experience (progress tracking, weak-topic recommendations, the AI tutor), to process payments and manage your subscription, to keep the service secure, and to respond to your support requests. We do not sell your personal data.
Service providers we share data with
We use a small number of trusted processors to run Exam Cruise:
- Clerk — authentication and sign-in.
- Supabase — secure database and file storage.
- Paystack — payment processing (card, bank, USSD).
- Fireworks AI — powers the AI tutor’s responses.
Each processes data only to provide their service to us, under their own security and privacy terms.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your active subject and preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records (for example, payment records) to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, communicated in the app.
